3 Hizb-ut Tahrir men surrender

Three suspected leaders of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir have surrendered to police in a bid to return to their normal life. Guardians of the trio handed them over to Jessore police super Anisur Rahman yesterday afternoon.
Later, Divisional Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Khulna Range, SM Moniruzzaman, briefed the reporters about their handing over ceremony at a press briefing at the office of the superintendent of police.
The surrendered are—Saddam Yeasir Sazal, 32, son of Shafiar Rahman; Raihan Ahmed, 20, son of Abdus Salam and Mehedi Hasan Palash, 20, son of AKM Sharafat Mia.
SP Anisur Rahman said legal procedures would be taken in this regard. “The three were kept under the custody of detective branch of police”, the SP added.
