Magura: A schoolteacher was hacked to death by his rival over a land-related dispute at Police Line Paschim Para in Sadar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin, 70.
Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Azmaul Huda said there had been a longstanding dispute over the ownership of a piece of land between Ruhul and another person of the village.
A group of criminals attacked Ruhul and stabbed him indiscriminately when he was going to a local mosque for Fajr prayer early in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
