Besides working regularly in the theatre on behalf of two renowned troupes, popular actors Jhuna Chowdhury (Natyakendra theatre) and Ahsan Habib Nasim (Subachan theatre) are also busy with TV plays. Though they never worked together on the same stage, the duo appeared in one or two tele-dramas on the small screen. Once again, two talented artistes have acted together in a television play recently. DhakaLive has news that the duo has worked together in the tele-drama titled ‘Anyarakam Samapti’, written by Fazlul Karim and directed by Taju Kamrul. They played in two lead roles in the play. Meanwhile, the shooting of the tele-drama was completed recently in Pubail on the outskirt of the capital.
Jhuna Chowdhury said about working in the tele-drama, “Taju Kamrul is a brilliant director, who works with proper understanding. I felt wonderful to work under his direction. The story has a twist. I think if the editing and use of background music are done in an appropriate manner, it will be a wonderful tele-drama.”
Nasim said, “Veteran actor Jhuna Chy is always by my side during the different movement of theatre federation and even in various activities of our theatre troupe. For this reason, we have a brotherly relationship. As we--who are from theatre--do rehearsal for two-three times before working in any tele-drama, the output of our work always seems wonderful. I am hopeful about the tele-drama which I believe will be admired by the audience.”
Among others, Tutul, Swapan, Tamal, Shampa and ABM Mamun have worked in the tele-drama alongside Jhuna Chowdhury and Nasim.
Director Taju Kamrul informed DhakaLive that the duo’s tele-drama ‘Anyarakam Samapti’ will be aired on Bangladesh Television soon. l
