Milon blended dedication, integrity: Inu

“Habibur Rahman Milon was taciturn but committed,” Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said at a memorial meeting on the deceased journalist, who was also the incumbent chairman of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), reports BSS.
“His love for the motherland and humanity permeated his life and work,” he added. The information minister said that there were three challenges that journalists have to face. They are: to speak the truth; remain steadfast to one’s ideal; and educate society.
Milon did all this and he had a rare quality to distinguish between the true and false. He was a symbol of dedication to the values he believed in like the Liberation War, remaining consistent to objectivity and integrity, Inu said.
“Today’s society and state have a lot to learn from him,” the minister felt.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister’s Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said “We always knew him as our leader in thought, conscience and complete freedom of the media.
