Gazipur: Two schoolgirls drowned in a water body while taking bath at Brahmangaon village in Kaliganj upazila on Wednesday, reports UNB. Atikur Rahman Akand, local UP chairman, said Tanha, 7, a class II student and daughter of Abul Kalam Munshi, a Singapore expatriate, and Maria Akter, 7, a class I student and daughter of Abdul Mannan, a Dubai expatriate, went to take bath in a water body near their house in the afternoon. Sensing the two children missing, locals conducted a massive hunt in the area. Later their bodies were found floating in a water body. They were rushed to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead.
