Khaleda won’t quit Jamaat, says Hasan Mahmud

Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said that BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia may stay away from BNP but never leave Jamaat-e-Islami, reports BSS.
By joining Jamaat’s Iftar party she proved that she is with them. She sat beside the Jammat leaders -it means she can stay away from BNP, but never away from Jamaat.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said this attending a discussion meeting at the National Press Club yesterday morning.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote organized the function marking the 66th founding anniversary of the ruling party.
With Acting President of the Jote ATM Shamsuzzaman in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by Awami League’s central committee member Sujit Roy Nandi, Organizing Secretary of Dhaka City Awami League Shahe Alam Murad, Awami League leader Advocate Balaram Poddar and General Secretary of the Jote Arun Sarker Rana.
Hasan Mahmud said “the trial of Jamaat leaders caused irritation for the BNP Chief , so she joined at the Iftar party organized by Jammat”.
Even the BNP leaders asked Begum Khaleda Zia to leave the company of Jamaat, but she didn’t pay heed to their request, said Dr Hasan, adding that the politics of Khaleda Zia is not for the country..... she is doing politics for her own.
