Soma returns to acting after 9 yrs

It has been nearly a decade since audience-admired actress Sumona Soma appeared in the film ‘Nandito Narake’ in 2007, directed by Belal Ahmed and written by late legendary writer Humayun Ahmed. Since then, she has been busy with her only daughter Barnamala and her family. Now, after nine long years, Sumona Soma made her return to the big screen and this time around, she has acted in two new films titled ‘Amra Ekti Cinema Banabo’ and ‘Gopon’, both directed by Ashraf Shishir.
DhakaLive has news that the shooting of the both films has already been completed. Among the films, ‘Amra Ekti Cinema Banabo’ will be released under the banner of Impress Telefilm. Regarding acting in the films, Sumona Soma said, “I have become so busy with family. Now, since my daughter is much older, I am giving time to acting again. I wanted to act in the films with good stories. The stories of my two new films are fantastic. I experienced much satisfaction while working in these two films and am hopeful about them.” Sumona Soma will also begin working for another film directed by Wahiduzzaman Diamond. Sumona Soma made her acting debut through a tele-drama titled ‘Shesh Theke Shuru’ directed by Rezanur Rahman, while she was seen on the screen for the first time in the tele-drama titled ‘Atyasamparna’ opposite Syed Shuvro. She made her film debut in ‘Rajdhani’ directed by Mohammad Hossain Jemi, where she acted opposite late great actor Manna. Then, she appeared in G Sarkar’s ‘Milon’ and Didarul Alam Badal’s ‘Na Bolona’.
