Rajshahi: Police arrested two people along with 500 bottles of the Indian Phensidyl syrup from Kakanhat Bazar in Godagari upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestees were identified as Manirul Islam, son of late Taisur Rahman of Nabinagar Barohati village of Godagari upazila, and Anisur Rahman, son of Manjur Rahman of Barorasia village in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.Officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station SM Abu Farhad said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and intercepted a Rajshahi-bound lorry from Chapainawabganj at about 5:30am.
