JHALOKATI: A college student of Rajapur upazila was electrocuted on Friday evening while he was trying to pull out a charger connection from his own laptop at a local mobile shop here, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as Subho Das, 20, a first year honours student of Barisal Chakhar Government Fazlul huq College and son of Shankar Das of Gopalpur village of the upazila.
Abul Khair Russel, resident medical officer of Rajapur Upazila Health Complex (RUHC), said Subho Das received serious injuries while he was trying to pull out a charger from electric connection of his laptop.
He was rushed to the RUHC in an unconscious condition where attending doctors declared him dead.
An unnatural death case was recorded with Rajapur thana in this connection.
