Popular singer Partha Barua and singer-music director Bappa Mazumdar have been assigned the responsibilities as two of the main judges of the reality show ‘Music Premiere League’ (MPL), which began on July 15. After airing on the first day, the show has garnered immense praise and admiration. Organised by Channel i and directed by Taher Shipon, the reality show MPL is open for participation to the mass people from all across Bangladesh. There are eight divisional teams with eight popular musicians as the team leaders. The team leaders will get to form their respective divisional teams through regional auditions, selecting three promising singers from each division.
As two of the main judges, Partha Barua and Bappa Mazumdar are very enthusiastic.
Partha Barua said about MPL, “I want to say that any event or competition that is music-related, I am always eager to be involved. I am a musician in my heart and mind. I want to see true musicians making an impact and pave the way for musicians in the future. From the MPL competition, we will get eight to ten talented musicians who will achieve greatness in the field of music.”
Bappa Mazumdar said, “I have been very hopeful about the MPL from the beginning. The more time passes by, the more I am getting involved with this and I am getting more hopeful. As one of the main judges, I am very hopeful that we will get many artistes from this competition.”
On the other hand, Patha Barua-acted first film ‘Aynabaji’, directed by Amitabh Reza, will see its release on August 19. He is focused on that and will be part of the film’s promotion. In addition to the MPL, Bappa Mazumdar is also busy with some new songs.
The eight team leaders for MPL are Sabbir, Mehdi, Sandipan, Parvez Sajjad, Nishita Barua, Dithi Anwar, Putul and Konal.
The ‘Music Premiere League’ is being aired every Friday to Monday at 7:50pm on Channel i. l
