NOAKHALI: Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader yesterday said the BNP is plotting to topple the government in the name of forging national unity, reports BSS.
"Now many people are seeking unity. That unity must be under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It will be national unity - unity of the people," he said speaking as the chief guest at a function at Companiganj Upazila complex.
The function was held to distribute relief materials among the cyclone affected people and handover wheelchairs to people with disabilities and agriculture inputs among farmers. The minister also inaugurated 21 development projects in the function.
Presided over by Companiganj Upazila Chairman Mizanur Rahman Badal, the function was attended by Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Badre Munir Munshi, Police Superintendent  Ilias Sharif and Upazila Awami League President Khizir Hayat, among others.
