HP training camp starts today

The intensive training camp for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)-High Performance (HP) unit will begin today without the head coach Simon Helmot.
The first day of the camp will be limited to the players reporting. All the players were asked to report to their new trainer Corey Bocking at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) today.
Some players meanwhile arrived in Dhaka after passing their Eid vacation to join the training camp. The rest of the players will land in Mirpur.  
This time the camp is being started without the head coach Simon Helmot, who is now in busy in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the Trinbago Knight Riders. He will join with the team’s training session in the first week of August just after the end of his CPL stint.
The main session of the training camp with bat and ball will be begun on Sunday. Local coaches including Wahidul Haque Gani, Mizanur Rahman Babul, Golam Murtoza, Sohel Hossain and Zafrul Ehsan will help Corey.
The HP authority meanwhile held a coordination meeting and divided the roles and responsibilities among the coaches.
In a bid to produce back-up players for the national team coupled with prepared them for the international stage, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revived the High Performance (HP) programme in 2015 again after a long lull.
