A memorial programme of Mohammad Rabiul Karim, 34, assistant commissioner of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police was held at his village Katigram under Manikganj Sadar upazila in Manikganj yesterday afternoon.
He was killed at Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka’s diplomatic zone of Gulshan on July 1 while fighting to rescue the hostages from the grips of terrorists.
The specialized school ‘BLOOMS’, founded by  Rabiul, arranged the memorial meeting on the school premises at around 3:00 pm.
The students, guardians, teachers and committee members of the school, his friends, well-wishers and villagers attended the function.
