President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) had a view exchange meeting with the participants, who obtained the Wild Card to take part in the Rio Olympic 2016 yesterday at the Kurmitola Golf Club in the capital yesterday.
All the athletes including golfer Siddiqur Rahman were present along with BOA high officials. The Chief of  Army Staff and president of BOA General Abu Belal Muhammed Shafiul Haque urged the athletes them to be sincere to keep up the goodwill of the country and not to do anything which can destroy the reputation of the country.
General Abu Belal Muhammed Shafiul Haque also encouraged them by announcing that for winners of a gold medal in the Olympic will be awarded with Taka one crore, silver medalist with Taka 50,00,000 and Taka 25,00,000 for the bronze medal winners.
Syed Shaed Reza, secretary general of the BOA informed that in the meeting they also decided that golfer Siddiqur Rahman will carry the national flag of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, swimmer Mahfizur Rahman Sagar, shooter Abdullah Hel Baki and archer Shaymoli Roy have already confirmed their participation after having wild card earlier. Shahed Reza also informed that they (BOA) were waiting for another wild card for athletics then they will confirm the total contingent members for Rio Olympic to be held in the capital of Brazil from August 5 to 21.
