A 14-year-old student of Markazul Quran Wal Ullumir Shaharia Madrasah in Manikganj has been missing for more than a year. The boy, Robin Hossain, son of Motaleb Hossain of Kola village in Shivalaya upazila, was a student of class four of the madrasah.  
Robin’s family claims he went out from his house for the madrasah at Dotora village in Ghior upazila on March 15 in 2015 and did not return home since.
Robin’s elder brother Johirul Islam registered a general diary with Shivalaya Police Station on March 21, six days after the boy went missing, said Rokibuzzaman, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Johirul Islam claimed that his brother Robin was abducted. Family members believe that Robin was not involved with any extremist groups. Robin was not fond of studies and that’s why he might be hiding, his family believes.
Robin’s father, who was an expatriate worker in Qatar, returned home after learning that his son went missing.
Additional Police Superintendent of Manikganj Jakir Hossain said they have already sent information of the missing boy to the police high-ups to trace his location.
