MoU had been signed on June 21, 2015 among Eastern University (EU), Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and Ernst & Young LLP for the implementation of the largest World Bank Supported Integrated Skill Development IT/ITES Sector projects.
On behalf of Eastern University, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, VC, EU, Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Pro VC, EU, registrar, EU, Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairperson of CSE Dept., EU, Chadni Islam, lecturer, CSE Dept, EU and others were present.
Kamal Mansharamani, project director and senior advisor from Ernst and Young LLP, Gaurav Pandey, consultant, Business Advisory Services from Ernst and Young LLP represented their companies.
Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, chairperson, Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, EU, is given responsibility to lead the project activities .
The primary objectives of the project are to catalyze the growth of Bangladesh’s IT/ITES Industry for employment creation and export diversification. Some of the specific objectives of the projects are to develop skilled manpower for IT and ITES sector.
