Three demands of attackers
Staff Reporter
The attackers, who stormed the Holey Artisan Café, had three demands to set the hostages free, according to police sources. Of those, firstly, they demanded the immediate release of Khaled Saifullah, a JMB leader recently held at Demra on the outskirts of the capital. Secondly, all the attackers should be given a safe passage to leave the café. The police did not disclose the third demand by the terrorists. However, unconfirmed sources said the attackers wanted “recognition of their attack as an endeavor to establish Islam”.
