Iftar party and clothes distribution
North South University Social Services Club (NSUSSC) organised its regular annual event in association with Acme Bangladesh, Knorr (Unilever) and Indigo Collection- “Eid Clothing and Iftar Distribution, says a press release”.
This year’s event took place on Thursday at Manik Mia Avenue, in front of Sangsad Bhaban where 1000 clothes were distributed among the poverty-stricken children and the iftar was distributed to the orphans of Baitul Falah Jame Masjid and Madrasah at Mohammadpur. The aim of this event was to spread the spirit of Ramadan and the happiness of Eid among the orphans and underprivileged children of the capital.
NSU SSC always arranges this event for the street children who struggle on a daily basis for their basic necessities and give them a bit of joy by spending time with them and providing them with a hearty meal for iftar and new clothes for Eid.
Belal Ahmed, Deputy Director and Spokesperson of NSU, led the team of Club President, Secretary and more than hundred members of NSU SSC in distributing iftar and cloths among children.
Prof SD Chawdhury new adviser of BAU
Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) authorities have appointed Prof Dr S D Chawdhury of the Poultry Science department as the new Students Affairs’ Adviser of the university. He was appointed for a period of two years, confirmed BAU acting registrar Md Saiful Islam.
Earlier, Prof Chawdhury was the dean of the Animal Husbandry faculty of BAU.
