Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested two persons for pilfering diesel from rail engines in Nandina Railway Station area in Jamalpur Sadar upazila on Wednesday night. According to Jamalpur RAB-14 sources, based on secret information that a gang of thieves were stealing diesel from a Mymensingh bound train in Nandina Railway Station area at around 9 pm, a team of elite force led by Company Commander Hayatul Islam Khan raided the area and held Akram Hossain, 35 and Oli, 21. The law enforcers also seized 350 liters of locomotive diesel from the spot. RAB sources said organised gangs are involved in pilfering fuel from trains at different railway stations.
