Amid the fast-changing scenario in Europe, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali has postponed his German visit at the ‘request’ of German side, reports UNB.
The Foreign Minister was scheduled to leave Dhaka for Germany on a four-day bilateral visit today.
There has been a formal request from the German government, and the visit has been postponed, said a diplomatic source in Berlin adding that the schedule will be re-fixed at a time convenient to both sides.
The Foreign Minister was scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his German counterpart during the visit.
The United Kingdom has already decided to come out from the European Union (EU) as its majority people voted for leave defeating "remain" camp.
Economists have already indicated that Bangladesh's export will fall under pressure due to changes in Europe and the UK in particular.
