Members of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) arrested a woman with 916 pieces of precious stones worth about Tk 10 lakh at Benapole check-post on Monday evening. The woman has been identified as passport holder Moyna Begum, 50, of Chanchara Raypara in Jessore Town.  Benapole BGB camp Nayeb Subeder Towhidur Islam said acting on a tip-off,  they arrested the woman. She is a listed smuggler making frequent visit to Kolkata with valid passport and every time she returns with illegal items dodging customs check, he said. The seized stones were kept in three packets. Those included 90 pieces of Panna stone, 40 Pola stones, 22 Akik , 4 Moon, 55 Gomade and 705 Neela stones  worth about Tk 10 lakh.
