On June 12, the opening day of the 4th China-South Asia Expo, Yunnan’s first English-language newspaper, Yun-nan Tourism and Culture Times , was launched.

Yunnan Tourism and Culture Times is managed by Yunnan Daily Press Group, and the newspaper is published fortnightly, with 80% of its content in English and 20% in Chinese. Each issue consists of 48 pages, featuring columns entitled Dynamic, Focus, Historical relics, Nature, Villages, Tour Routes, Art, LOHAS, Souvenirs, Food, City Life and the Language of Painting. The newspaper will be oriented towards and accurately targeted at overseas tourists, especially those from South and South-east Asia planning to visit Yunnan.
