Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Union and Dhaka Zila Sarak Sramik Union were forced to resume the services following intervention by the higher authorities in the afternoon, sources close to the workers said. Hundreds of people were seen waiting at the terminals , especially at Sayeedabad, from where services for Comilla, Noakhali, Sylhet, Chittagong, the hill tract districts as well as other parts of the country are operated.
On Monday, a clash between the two groups of transport workers broke out at the capital’s Gulistan over the control of an office building of the union.
