RANGPUR: The unemployed male and female youths must be turned into skilled human resource for accelerating the process of attaining sustainable national development, speakers said while addressing inaugural ceremony of the two-month training course on 'Sewing' and three-month training course on 'Computer' being organised by Rangpur Zila Parishad (RZP) under its programme to create employment opportunity for unemployed youths.
With Acting Chief Executive Officer of RZP Arzoo Ara Begum in the chair, its Administrator and Acting President of district Awami League Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the ceremony arranged at RZP auditorium as the chief guest on Monday afternoon. Ninety unemployed female youths from all over the district have been taking part in the training course on 'Sewing' and 60 female youths in three-month-long training course on 'Computer.'
The RZP authority has been arranging the training courses with its own resources for the 2015-2016 fiscal. In her welcome speech, Arzoo Ara Begum said the present government has taken steps in turning all unemployed male and female youths into skilled human resources so that they could achieve economic self-reliance through self-employments.
"There is no alternative to education and skill development for all citizens, including the youths, to engage their combined efforts as working forces in achieving the long-cherished goal of building an economically self-reliant Bangladesh," she added.
