RANGPUR: The services and trainings on various trades being provided by the government through different departments are playing vital role in creating jobs for unemployed male and female to cut rural poverty, reports BSS.
The opinion came at a views-exchange meeting of the upazila level officials of different service-providing departments and organisations with common people at Sadar union parishad hall room under Gangachara upazila here on Wednesday afternoon.
The Democracy Watch in association with “Oporajita’, an NGO, organised the meeting styled ‘Quality of Services and Social Programmes.’
Female Vice-chairman of Gangachara upazila Nazmin Nahar attended the meeting as the chief guest with Member of Gangachara Sadar union parishad Mofazzal Hossain in the chair.
Gangachara Upazila Social Service Officer Mosaddekur Rahman, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Shahanaz Farzana Afroz, District coordinator of ‘Oporajita’ Foysal Habib and its Programme Officer Mizanur Rahman addressed among others.
