Training for women on graphic design begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA: A month long training on graphic design for the women and the entrepreneurs began at the conference room of Sadar upazila parishad yesterday to create freelancers aimed at earning remittance through outsourcing, reports BSS. A2i (Access to Information) programme of PM office, GoB (Government of Bangladesh), BWIT (Bangladesh Women in Technology) and SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) Foundation has arranged the training in cooperation
with district administration under Women ICT Freelancer and Entrepreneurs Development Programme. An inaugural session organized by upazila administration was also held at the training room with Sadar UNO Ashraful Momin Khan in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Abdus Samad attended the function as the chief guest and additional deputy commissioner (General) M. Shamsul Azam was present as special guest. DC M. Abdus Samad urged the participants to acquire knowledge from the training properly and to involve in freelancing activity to earn money from abroad through outsourcing to change their lots economically and strengthen the country’s economy.
Trainers-Helal Uddin, Ziaul Haque, Shanewaz Mukul and M. Shahanur led by chief trainer M. Abdullah are conducting the training sessions as resource persons. A total of 20 women and entrepreneurs are taking part in the training, said assistant commissioner (ICT) of DC office M. Musabbirul Islam. Similar training for 20 women and entrepreneurs of the district also began at the computer lab of Gaibandha PTI of the town here under the programme on the same day for second batch, he also said.
