Police recovered the body of a madrasa student from a garden of Boro Alampur village of the upazila yesterday morning, reports BSS from Pirganj, Rangpur.
The deceased Suman Miah, 15, was a student of class ten of Patgram Dakhil Madrasa and son of Saidur Rahman, a resident of the same area.
Police recovered the body from the spot at around 7.30 am. His hands and legs were tied up with a rope, police said. Later, the body was sent to hospital for autopsy.
Police is investigating into the matter, said Rajaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Pirganj Thana.
