A sub-inspector (SI) of Akbar Shah police station of Chittagong on Friday was suspended as his pistol and 16 rounds of bullet were stolen from his residence. The suspended SI was identified as Zafar Ahmed.  Police sources said on Thursday the SI came police station keeping the pistols and bullets in his rented home. After returning home he found that the pistol, bullets and Tk17,000 were stolen breaking his room’s door. Chittagong Metropolitan Police suspended Zafar for negligence in responsibility, said police sources.
