Customs intelligence arrested a young man in possession of 84 gold bars weighing 10 kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Saturday, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Abul Hossain, 30. Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Dr Moinul Khan said Abul Hossain came to Dhaka from Qatar by a Qatar Airways that landed at the airport around 5:20am. Tipped off, a team of the customs intelligence arrested Abul Hossain at the airport. After searching his body, its officials recovered the gold bars. The market value of the gold is Tk4.5 crore.
