4 albums of Shahin Samad launched

Four audio albums of Ekushey Padak winning singer Shahin Samad has been launched on May 20 in Chayanaut Auditorium in the city, organised by Laser Vision. The albums are titled ‘Antore Tumi’, ‘Nana Barner Gaan’, ‘Dur Azaaner Madhur Dhoni’ and ‘Allah Ke Je Paite Chay’.
Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman, singer Azad Rahman and eminent Nazrul singer Khalid Hossain unveiled the cover. Presided over by Laser Vision Chairman AKM Arifur Rahman and presented by Mousumi Barua, the event was attended by Laser Vision managing director Mazharul Islam, renowned personalities from the cultural arena and journalists. Following the launching and cover unveiling, the event also featured musical performances.
‘Nana Barner Gaan’ features mixed songs from various poets, ‘Antore Tumi’ consists of Nazrul Sangeet, ‘Allah Ke Je Paite Chay’ and ‘Dur Azaaner Madhur Dhoni’ features Hamd O Naat. ‘Nana Barner Gaan’ features 13 songs from Panchakabi, some of the notable ones being ‘Prothom Adi’, ‘Ami Sokol Kaajer’, ‘Jagaow Pathik’, ‘Uchataan Mon’, ‘Momo Moner Bijone’ and ‘Polash Dhaka Kokil Daka’. ‘Antore Tumi’ features 10 memorable Nazrul songs such as ‘Porojonome Dekha Hobe’, ‘Gaanguli Mor’, ‘Chhar Chhar Achol’, ‘Antore Tumi’, ‘Mor Prothom Premer Mukur’. ‘Allah Ke Je Paite Chay’ consists of seven Islamic songs from Nazrul like ‘Aminar Kole’, ‘Allah Ke Je Paite Chay’, ‘Khatune Jannat’, ‘Tribhuboner Priyo Muhammad’. ‘Dur Azaaner Madhur Dhoni’ also features seven Islamic songs from Nazrul, notable ones being ‘Tomar Doyay’, ‘Muhammad er Naam’ ‘Ogo Nur Nabi Hazrath’ ‘Tora Dekhe Ja Ami Na Mayer Kole’ and ‘Dur Azaaner Madhur Dhoni’.
Regarding the albums, Shahin Samad said, “After a long time, I have done the work for my albums and I have tried to present some good songs to the listeners. I hope they like and appreciate all the songs.”
