Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has put up a new proposal to the Cabinet Committee on Purchase for the procurement of 15 Lakh Digital Smart Card Driving Licences worth Tk 74,98,50,000.
The purchase committee will hold its meeting today at the secretariat.
If the new proposal for supply of the personalized Dual Interface Polycarbonate Motor Driving Licence is accepted, it will renew a supply contract with vendor Tiger IT Bangladesh to continue the supply of smart driving licences containing chips that will make it possible to track the holder with the server kept at the BRTA, removing the scope to duplicate it, official sources said.
The vendor was selected through an
international tender for the job opened on
February 8, 2016.
