Dhaka ameer among 4 JMB men held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), including its Dhaka district unit ameer, from the city's Khilgaon and Kamalapur areas, reports UNB.
The RAB members also seized one kg of explosives, one pistol, 31 Molotov cocktails, five improvised explosive devices and jihadi books. The three others arrestees are Monir Mollah, 29, Md Golam Kibria alias Akhter, 62, and Md Ruman Khan, 27.
Tipped off, the elite force conducted separate drives in Khilgaon and Kamalapur areas and arrested the four JMB operatives.
Briefing reporters at the RAB Headquarters, its Director (Legal and Media) Mufti Mahmood said based on secret information, a RAB team arrested JMB’s Dhaka district Ameer Baten alias Khairul Islam alias
Mamunul Hoque, 25, along with his associate Monir Mollah from Khilgaon bus stand area around 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
Based on their statements, the elite force arrested Kibria and Ruman from Kamalapur Railway Station when they reached there from Chittagong around 1am on Thursday, he said.
Mufti Mahmood said the arrested JMB operatives had a plan to carry out subversive activities in the capital.
