Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have arrested the construction firm owner in connection with the use of bamboo sticks instead of iron rod in the construction of a DAE building in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga, reports UNB. Tipped off, a team of Rab-4 arrested Moni Singh, owner of M/S Joy International Construction, from his rented flat at Battala in Mirpur Section-10 around 9:30pm on Thursday, said media officer of the Rab unit ASP Mahfuza.
Earlier, a case was filed with Damurhuda Police Station against three people, including Joy International Construction owner Moni, its consulting division director Abdus Sattar and purchase officer Ayub Hossain, in connection with the anomalies.
