The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) yesterday inaugurated selling of essential commodities to the poor at subsidised price in the month of Ramzan. The CCCI President Mahbubul Alam inaugurated the activities on Chamber House premises in Agrabad area in the city.  “Like previous years, this time we have launched selling the essential commodities among the poor at subsidised price. It is a worship to stand by the poor particularly in the month of Ramzan,” said Mahbub.
The chamber president also urged the charitable and organisations and rich individuals to take part in such activities as part of social and religious responsibility.
The CCCI president also urged the traders not to create any artificial crisis of consumer goods and hike the prices of essential commodities.
The subsidised sale activities will continue till 27th Ramzan everyday from 11:30am till 2:00pm.
