Bogra: A man was hacked to death allegedly by his stepbrother over a land-related dispute at Doikandi village in Shajahanpur upazila on Thursday evening, reports UNB. Abdul Hakim, officer-in-charge of Shajahanpur Police Station, said Mahbubur Rahman, 57, son of late Miazan Ali, had an enmity with his stepbrother Nazrul Islam over the ownership of a piece of land. As a sequel to the enmity, Nazrul and Mahbubur had an altercation over the issue at 6pm and at one stage, Nazrul stabbed Mahbubur with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured. Later Mahbubur was rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 7:30 pm.
