Office timing for Ramadan to be fixed today

The government is going to fix the office time for the holy Ramadan today. Based on the lunar calendar, the Ramzan is supposed to start from June 7. The public administration ministry has prepared a proposal in this regard fixing the office time from 9am to 3:30pm with 15 minutes interval from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm for Zohr prayers for the month of holy Ramadan. The proposal would be placed before the cabinet meeting today, sources in the public administration ministry said. After getting approval from the cabinet, the public administration ministry will issue a gazette notification soon and the timetable will be applicable for the offices of the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. The proposal says that authorities of banks, insurers, other financial institutions, postal departments, railway departments, hospitals, public sector industries and factories may run their offices in accordance with their own rules considering public interest.
