Co-sponsored by Yunnan Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Bangladesh Buying Agents Association and organised by  Yunnan   Chamber   of International Commerce, the Bangladesh economic and trade promotion  was recently held in Kunming.

According to Mohammed Siddique, president of Bangladesh Buying Agents Association, In the past 10 years, Bangladesh has been maintaining an annual economic growth of 6 percent; the government has introduced a number of favourable policies, in hope of attracting Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in labor-intensive and high-tech enterprises and promote the cooperation between the two countries. Yunnan Chamber of International Commerce promises to establish a platform to help Chinese enterprises "go out" and Bangladeshi enterprises "come in".

Following the promo­tion, the construction, food processing, industrial machinery and machine parts and steel companies on both sides carried out more economic and trade activities.
