8-day music festival begins at BSA today

To spread the popularity and widen the door of music, Sammilita Sangeet Shilpi Society has organised an eight-day music festival, which will begin today at the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu will inaugurate the music festival as chief guest while popular singer Mumtaz Begum will be present as special guest. For the immense contribution to music, the music festival will honour 25 eminent artistes at the fair and  cover unveiling of 100 albums will also take place during the festival. Two seminars and four workshops will take place. A 200 feet long Timeline Board will be there for visitors who would be interested to know about historical facts. To capture memories with their favourite musicians, the visitors will have the benefit of having a Selfie Board. The eight-day long music fair will include free Wi-Fi Zone all throughout, and ABC Radio will organise regular programmes surrounding the music fair everyday from 5pm with live streaming. Baul singers and popular bands along with 100 artistes will present music at the festival.
The music festival will begin from 10 am and will conclude at 10 pm everyday until April 30.
