Child rescued, trafficker held

Satkhira: Police rescued a minor boy while he was being trafficked to India through Taluigaccha bordering area in Sadar upazila on Thursday evening, reports UNB.
Imdadul Haq Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said Mahasagar Kumar, of Gobindapur village in Shyamnagar upazila, developed a relation with Matier Rahman of Kunduria village in Ashashuni upazila.
Based on the relation, Mahasagar used to go to the house of Matier. On Thursday morning, Mahasagar picked up Munna Hossain, 6, son of Matier, alluring him with a new dress on his way back from school, and took him to the bordering area around 7 pm.
At one stage when Munna sensing something unusual stated crying, local people challenged Mahasagar. Later, they rescued Munna and handed Mahasagar over to police.
