Sabbir ready to fire for Prime Bank

Sabbir Rahman Rumman shot into the limelight by showing a tremendous form in the Twenty20 International.
Through Sabbir’s aggressive batting, Bangladesh got their first gold medal in Asian Games. In the final of the Asian Games Bangladesh needed 44 runs from the last five overs and Sabbir ensured the victory smashing three sixes in his 33 off 18.
The right-handed batsman has rich contribution behind the team’s success from World Cup Down Under 2015 to the recently concluded World T20 2016.
During the players’ draft of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Sabbir was recruited by Prime Bank Cricket Club who didn’t look for any glory names despite having the chance.
Sabbir said he will try his best to pay off. “Last year we became champions. We will, of course, fight for champions. We’ll play match by match. So far as we’ll play for winning. Our target is to become champions.”
“I’ll try to give my hundred percent whatever team I play for. I’ll try to give it to Prime Bank. As an icon player, I’ll try to give the team my hundred percent efforts but the rest will depend on Almighty,” Rahman told media.
The stroke-maker said that he will bowl alongside bat for the team’s success in the league.
“I’ve bowled in practice match. Overall bowling performance has been better. I’m practicing hard,” the 24-year-old said.
Sabbir normally bat at No.6 or 7 in ODI cricket. He however proves the No.3 position particularly to his liking in T20 cricket. Sabbir said he will continue to bat in No. 3 position in DPL, a 50-over-affair.
