Meherpur: Police arrested BNP executive committee member and former MP from Meherpur-1 constituen-cy Masud Arun from his house in Kasharipara area of the district town on yesterday morning on charge of sabotage plan, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Iqbal Bahar said the law enforcers arrested the BNP leader as the court had issued two arrest warrants against him.
He was accused in several sabotage cases during the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s blockade programme, the OC added.
