Awami League yesterday announced the new committees of its Dhaka city north and south units by splitting Dhaka city committee into two units for the first time, reports BSS. AL General Secretary and Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam named the presidents and general secretaries of the new committees at a press briefing at AL president's office in Dhanmondi. AKM Rahmatullah and Abul Hasnat have been made presidents of the Dhaka north and south units while Sadek Khan has been made general secretary of the north and Shahe Alam Murad of the south. Rahmatullah is AL Central Working Committee member and MP of Dhaka-11. Abul Hasnat was the president of Lalbagh Thana AL. Sadek Khan was Mohammadpur Thana  unit president while Shahe Alam was the organizing secretary of Dhaka city unit AL.
