Bangla New Year celebration at Le Méridien Dhaka

In sync with Bangladesh’s home-grown culture and heritage, Le Méridien Dhaka has arranged a festive week to celebrate Pahela Baishakh. This will be the first Bangla New Year since the hotel began operation, says a press release.
To mark the Bangla New Year 1423, the festivity started yesterday, as the hotel showcased a series of new recipes inspired by the tradition of panta elish but reflecting the flavours of the home-nations of the hotel’s master chefs from around the world. Hilsha Tasting is offering a range of à la carte set menus starting from BDT 1,000++ and will be held every evening from 18:00 till 23:00 at the hotel’s rooftop terrace restaurant Olea till Pahela aoishakh evening.
A Baishakhi gathering with a full-fledged carnival will also be hosted on the rooftop, silhouetted against the Skyline Infinity Pool in traditional Bengali style on April 14 from 11:00 till 23:00 with magic shows, face painting, live Baul music, a smorgasbord of snacks and light fare meals at the attractive price of BDT 1,423++. Even better news is this the carnival access fee will be waived for guests who will dine on the extensive Baishakhi Buffet lunch or dinner at the hotel’s all day dining restaurant Latest Recipe that day, priced at BDT 3,600++. All prices are also discounted at 50% for children between the ages of 03 to 12 years and fully waived for children below the age of 03 years.
