RANGPUR: Police recovered the body of a youth packed in a sac from Chatra area under Pirganj upazila in the district yesterday, reports BSS. The deceased youth is Yusuf Ali, 32, son of Idris Ali of village Shahorgachhi under Chatra union under the same upazila. Quoting father Yusuf Ali and wife Mitu of the victim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pirganj Thana Rezaul Karim told BSS tonight that Yusuf had been missing since Thursday night. Local villagers first discovered the body packed in a sac in Chatra area and informed the matter to Mithapukur Thana police this morning. A special squad of Mithapukur police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, conducted its inquest report and brought it to Mithapukur Thana this afternoon. Police primarily suspect that some unknown assailants murdered Yusuf in a planned manner somewhere else and left the body in the area. "We will hand over the body to his relatives after conducting its autopsy at Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue tomorrow (Saturday)," the OC said.
