Bogra: A man was killed as a branch of a roadside tree fell on him at Chikashi village in Dhunat upazila in Bogra yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Altaf Hossain, 50, son of late Sefad Akand of Paschim Bharanshahi village of the district. Locals said Bulbul Miah, son of Majibur Rahman of Chikashi village, was felling a tree by the Chikashi-Joreshimul road. A branch of a tree fell on Altaf around 2pm when he was passing by the area riding motorcycle, leaving him dead on the spot. Police arrested one Tuhin of Chikashi village in connection with the incident, said officer-in-charge of Dhunat Police Station Mizanur Rahman.
