‘Elected representatives
in district councils soon’

Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Engineer Khondker Mosharraf Hossain yesterday said the district councils will soon get elected representatives instead of nominated ones, reports UNB. “Law will be framed next week for holding election to district councils,” he said adding that district councils across the country will be strengthened further to reach services to the doorstep of the people.
