One Stone Films, with the support of the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), will screen Adam Dawla’s full-length feature film ‘Boishommo’ today at 5:30 pm at Zahir Raihan Colour Lab Auditorium of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the city’s Tejgaon area. The occasion has been organised in honour of the Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, a press release says.
Among others, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, prominent filmmaker Noman Robin and AIUB faculty member Haider Rizvi will be present as special guests. This year, two categories of National Film Awards have been announced for Adam Dawla’s film ‘Boishommo’, one for the best child actor and the other for best cinematography. The director of photography of the film is renowned film maker Mohammed Hossain Jaimy. Having spent most of his life abroad, Adam Dawla will speak about how he would like to see Bangladeshi films being exhibited and appreciated abroad. Since the Indian market has managed to create its space in the international film scenario, Dawla wishes to stimulate the Bangladeshi filmmakers to start thinking about how Bangladeshi films can also be made to gain international appreciation. Entry to the film screening will remain open to all.
