Nachole police arrested the suspended chairman of Shibganj upazila and nayeb-e-ameer of Chapainawabganj district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maolana Keramat Ali, and two others with seven cocktails from a brick kiln at Kendbona village yesterday afternoon. The other arrested persons are Jamaat activist Anwar Hossain and owner of the brick kiln Alkash Ali, both hailing from Shibganj upazila. OC Fasir Uddin said there are 42 cases against Keramat Ali with different police stations and he had been on the run to escape arrest. On  information that he had been holding secret meeting at Satata Brick Kiln, police from Nachole thana raided the area at around 12-45 pm and arrested the Jamaat men aforesaid persons with the cocktails, he added. Keramat Ali has remained suspended from his post since April 30, 2015.
