The Library Committee of the parliament recommended formation for a team led by a member of the committee for digitisation of the parliament library, reports BSS. The committee in its 7th meeting discussed the approval of the prepared ‘list of books’ to be purchased for the library, action plan for digitisation of the library and decoration of the library under the umbrella project of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, said a press release. Chairman of the Library Committee Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah presided over the meeting while committee members Sahara Khatun, Mohammad Hasan Mahmud, Enamul Haq and Kazi Rosy attended it. It recommended submission of the progress report about the activities of the internal decoration of the library to the library committee within the next 15 days. The committee approved the list of books to be purchased for the library. The list has 365 copies of books with 309 titles. The purchase related officials were asked to remain alert against any irregularities and follow the government’s procurement policy for purchasing the books. “No irregularities in purchasing the books will be tolerated,” said Library Committee Chairman Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah.
