At the Yunnan Agricultural Science Innovation and Agricultural Achievements Promotion Conference, Yunnan Academy of Forestry(YAF) presented 11 latest agricultural, scientific and technological achievements.

In recent years, the Yunnan Academy of Forestry has made a series of achievements concerning in-depth research in woody oil plants, ecolotgical management, special resources, and forest conservation. The Cultivation technologies surrounding medicinal raw materials from Yunnan Taxus has achieved fruitful results in terms of species research, resource protection and industrial development. Currently, ten quality natural Taxus forest zones, and three superior varieties have been identified. A full range of technologies on artificial cultivation of medicinal materials in Yunnan Taxus has been developed. The Academy has also addressed key technical issues regarding improved varietal cultivation, processing and product development of Yunnan’s oil tea industry. The Academy also helped to create a series of well-known tea oil brands, foster a number of national and provincial leading businesses, and establish an academician workstation which provides substantial scientific and technological support for the development of Yunnan’s oil tea industry.
